Carbondale sectional
Tue., Mar. 9

Game 1, 7:30 p.m.: (1) Belleville West vs. (4) Belleville Althoff
This is not for the weekend heart.  Althoff, which is just finding their grove hopes that Arthur Sargents stays hot enough to get them pass West.  West is lead by sensational point gaurd J.B. Jones who poise will lead West a long way in the playoffs. He and Xavier Price(Purdue) forms a formidable duo for Belleville West.

St. Xavier sectional
Wed., Mar. 10
Game 2, 7:30 p.m.: (2) Simeon vs. (3) Brother Rice
You tell me if this game won't be fun.  Rice and Simeon is as big as it gets.  Brother Rice comes at you with Dave Telender and Junior star Bobby Frasor and a host of three-point shooters.  Simeon counters with Calvin Brock and that fearsome frontline that also boast Anthony Newell.  Don't overlooked Junior point guard Tim Green from Simeon, he could be the deciding factor in this match.

Gordon Tech sectional
Tue., Mar. 9

Game 1, 7:30 p.m.: (1) Farragut vs. (4) Young                                           Don't tell me you thought Farragut was going to waltz right into a match-up with Westinghouse( If they could get past upset-minded ChicagoMarshall ), they must first take down a dangerous Whitney Young team lead by Sterling Williams.  Farragut is going to have to look a little more potent, as they looked lacadasical against Lincoln Park. Chris Singletary will be the key on both sides of the court.  If he could play stout defense on Williams and penetrate against that Whitney defense, the Admirals should be ok.

Eisenhower sectional
Wed., Mar. 10
Game 2, 7:30 p.m.: (2) Thornton vs. (3) Marist                                           Ok, expect this to be the first of two match-ups between these teams.  Both are young and dangerous.  Marist beeing lead by defensive whiz Jeremy Nash and Brandon Dagans running the attack at Thortan.  Thortan is high off of success lately, especially after beating H-F to end the regular season. Junior standout Joevon Catron could be the difference in this match-up though

Bloom sectional
Wed., Mar. 10
Game 2, 7:30 p.m.: (2) Hillcrest vs. (3) Rich Central                                   Stop playing? For the third time this year Hillcrest will try to knock of Rich Central.  That's hard! Very!  Hillcrest will seak to make it a reality with Junior standouts Jerell McNeal and Maurice 'lil Reese' ' lil Mo' Acker.  Rich Central is deep and talented.  They are lead by Jarvis Walker (12pts. 8ast.) and banger Fred Washington (20pts 8reb vs. Rich South).  I am covering this game so it ought to be a dandy.

Buffalo Grove sectional
Wed., Mar. 10
Game 2, 7:30 p.m.: (2) Glenbrook North vs. (3) Schaumburg.                    Jon Scheyer(30 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assist vs. Glenbrooks South) and company will be looking to take out Schaumburg, which isn't an easy task.  Northern Illinois recruits Zach Pancratz and Craig Reichel lead the Saxons.
